at times it's a bit dull, but its minimalism is all part of the charm. just wish there wasn't such a separation between the more musique concrete tracks and the string based tracks.

that's odd you point that as a weakness to me I guess. I had always thought that the transitions between each were fine and seamless

no the transitions are fine, i just wish that the two components were mixed a bit more

He does mix them abit more on his new one, infra, so you may enjoy that one as well, though the highlights here beat it

mmm. i just noticed that aboretum works as sort of a prequel to the trees. maybe it's just me, but i find a pleasant similarity between the main melodies.
