This was a great tour! Amazing stage set-up. Ian's a wild man.

I like the 80´s sound quite a bit. it´s kind of...epic. I may be biased as I listened to this at school.

I quite like the sound on this album too. This has some sentimental value for me as well.

Is it just me or are the vocals really quiet on this album?

Never noticed to be honest but this is certainly one of his last great vocal performances. Shame his voice deteriorated so much after his throat surgery.

I kinda liked him on Catfish Rising too. Which is an album I quite like.

I'm going through their discography in random order. :P

His range is obviously limited on Catfish Rising as with all of their later albums but he did adapt to a different singing style which worked reasonably well.

His vocals were clearly at their best on Tull's 70's albums, I don't think anyone would dispute that.

I'll be listening to Songs from the Wood next.

Album cover uses actual The Lord Of The Rings runes; Once I translated it using the book guide, but I do not remember what it says
