Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get rid of it, but like Mike said, it's kinda cool to see your review got pos'd a lot.

yeah i mean everyone likes getting pos'd and no one likes getting neg'd but it just seems like a system that causes more stress than actually gives an accurate picture of reviewer strength

drop-ins by angry fans like peanutgallery is what makes reviewing crappy mainstream albums so fun

An idea is to change it into a system where users could actually rate reviews, but that would doubtlessly attract trolls as well.

Very true Jared. And you know that will be his only comment here ever.

I just think if you're going to judge lyrics you should get them right. Everyone has an opinion, i'm not expecting every review to be glowing, or for everyone to like the album.
I do wish people would get over the reality show bias. It's not like he was on American Idol and never touched a guitar before he went on the show.

A graduate of the 'Rock Star: Supernova' reality televison series, New York singer-songwriter Ryan Star looks to grow his career on much-delayed LP '11:59'. Including a couple of re-recordings from a previous 2006 album, this release is full of catchy straight-ahead rockers, which showcase Star's passionate vocals. As with most mainstream-leaning rock that begs to be played on the radio, it's far from innovative & all a little too clean for its own good. But for what it is, this album achieves its objectives & occasionally hints at an edge that could prove interesting on subsequent releases. Recommended Tracks: Right Now, Start a Fire & Last Train Home.
