True. Warmness of the Soul was pretty bad I thought off Sounding the Seventh Trumpet though.

Yeah, "Almost Easy" and "Afterlife" were actually great songs. "Critical Acclaim" was just such a douchey song, I hope for no more politics from them after that one. I also have grown to like "Brompton Cocktail", but the rest of the self-titled was just.... SUCH a letdown.
Oh, and "Little Piece of Heaven" was amusing at first, but, had no lasting power. It was like a gimmick.

"Lost" was pretty good at first but lost it's appeal after multiple listens.

Yes, I liked Lost and Almost Easy.

I haven't listened to the album yet, but I already think I'll miss The Rev's singing parts, I thought they were a good addition if nothing else from the album.

You know, I forgot "Lost". I remember liking it now. I wonder if that wore off and that's why I forgot it... I should go back and give it a listen.

In my opinion, the s/t was the sort of album where you save 2-3 songs to a playlist and discard the rest.

I actually usually listened to it all the way through, always skipping Dear God of course and occasionally skipping Critical Acclaim. But all in all I enjoyed it and still enjoy it as a whole.

This album suspiciously fell from the top of the Popular Albums list. What happened? One of the moderators hates A7X?

Hahaha, yeah, s/t was different to the say the least. Its good, but its just so disjointed, and the tracks aren't solid enough to stand alone, unlike CoE and WtF.
Also, Quen, the rev still has vocals on this album. For fiction (his self proclaimed masterpiece) they managed to save his vocal tracks. He finished it 3 days before he died. If you listen to the leads, with shadows and the rev singing together, its really emotional. The song almost brings me to tears

But the vocals at the end of Fiction are SO bad

Kinda adds to it, though. It's like his rough, first recorded vocal racks, right? The flaws only add to the emotion, IMO.

So Fiction is his "masterpiece" best song on the album? The release date is the 27th in the US right? I'm so psyched for the album and I don't want to torrent it.
