I never really notice things like that, that doesn't seem like something an artist has control over anyway. Like, I know you can change the general dynamics a bit, but I always thought the overall volume was down to the recording equipment.

My recording equipment is: musescore.org and microsoft sound recorder. Free, but it can allow you to turn things up so fucking loudly.
