Well Adam, I can say that if anything this review has made me view 25 To Life a whole lot differently. For that have a pos.

What mine? Johnny Foreigner - Grace And The Bigger Picture. It's erm, a fucking amazing record.

Solid review as per usual Adam. If you have listened to The Roots & Big Boi, where does this compare?

Lol, I haven't listened to Roots, and Big Boi REALLY isn't my type of thing. I can't really place them, mate, to be honest. I just know this is quickly becoming a veritable staple in my daily listening.
And cheers, Ross. But care to elaborate?

Sure thing. On the previous occasions I had listened to the album (last time was about a month ago to be fair) I viewed 25 To Life as one of the weaker tracks, I didn't like the chorus (better than the Going Through Changes chorus, but barely) and I must not have listened to the lyrics particularly well because I didn't notice any particularly good word play.
Skip to quarter of an hour ago, I read this review, whack on the track and listen fairly intensely. I liked it so much I had to listen again, and with the lyrics up on screen to follow more closely. In a matter of a few minutes its gone from one of my least favorite to one of my favorite tracks on the album. I mean I'm sure I would have changed my opinion regardless at some point, but you just sped it up.

Every review I've ever negged was written by Bulldog lol.

Sweet, awesome to know. When I first played the record through I actually texted my brother from Spain which is something I pretty much don't do telling him to listen to it, haha. Downer ripped on the track in his review, but I think it's genius.

Pretty sure Downer just picks his least favorite tracks out of a hat once he's removed all Pitchfork approved ones.

why david i think its important
It's not, man. Why try and back-history one of the most popular artists in the world? It's like starting off a review of Exile on Main St. with "If you've never heard the Rolling Stones before..."

nawh 'cause it's not meant for that. it's meant to lead into the idea that recovery is more surprising / impressive if youve followed the narrative intently. i honestly think it's important.

Well I disagree.

counts towards your approval rating, which to be blunt, doesn't really matter
approval rating is srs business

intro is stupid. if it doesn't need saying, it doesn't need saying, or something. rest of the review is very good, as always.

Nice review Adam. If the second half was anywhere near as good as the first then I'd have this at a 4 or maybe even a 4.5. Unfortunately a few unneccessary songs like So Bad and Almost Famous let it down a little imo.
