The Crusade didn’t end up twenty steps ahead of Ascendancy, but rather about five hundred steps to the side.
Exactly what i thought when i heard this. This album probably goes down as one of the biggest dissapointments ever. I'm not a huge Trivium fan but thought Ascendancy was pretty cool and had high hopes for this when it came out. Luckily they pulled it all back together for shogun. Unlike B4MV who continue to get worse.
