Yes, I will. That was a mistake I guess, I kinda went into this saying "Im going t prove how this is overrated" and while I did describe the music, I guess I compared it too much to their other albums. I think I may do a prog or jazz album next, but whatever I do I'll make sure to not include comparisons to albums that came after, or to approach things from a strange angle

This is pretty well written tbh. Seems like it's just getting neg'd because it's Progmaster. I do
agree that you shouldn't be comparing this to their later records in the review, though.

However, with their 2005 album “Vheissu”, a colossal stylistic change had been made to their sound; they shifted from their purely melodic/post-hardcore tendencies and began to experiment with genres such as progressive rock, by adding more atmosphere and depth to their arrangements.
this sentence justifies my neg in itself...

Phrases like
"most highly respected"
sound a bit awkward.
"While I may not be an expert in the post-hardcore genre"
This is useless, don't say in your introductory paragraph that you don't know much about what you are reviewing.
This is really only minor nitpicking, the review is rather decent. I'll pos.

I find it odd that you have opinions on their other albums even though according to you last fm this is the only Thrice album you've listened to.

gotta agree with IsItLuck's point on approaching the review from the "overated" perspective -- as the purpose of the review itself should be to "rate" the album an explain why. If you're basing your rating off of others' opinion of the album then you're undermining your own credibility.
Other than that and a few too many first person references (which don't always bug me, but they seemed awkward here) the review was pretty good. Probably not neg-worthy.
Also, album rules and is the third best by Thrice; and sometimes I even like it more than any of the others.

This is my 4th fav Thrice album, used to be #1 for a couple of years but everything they have done since has trounced this album for greatness.
Vheissu is probably the #1 album of the decade imo.
Good review, album still rules very hard.

^ I agree, I also pos'd because I thought he explained his points decently. I disagree with a lot of the points and I love this album but he did a good job.
