nide review man.
im a little unsure about these guys, and pretty much slammy brutal stuff in general. ive heard a few songs off of psalms and they didnt really do much for me, but if they have cleaned up their sound a bit that might help.

i checked out engulfed in excruciation, i liked that slam bit towards the end that you mentioned, but i dont know there is still something about the sound that just kinda gets on my nerves a bit. this vocalist is more tolerable though.

But really, Chapters of Repugnance is the sonic companion piece to The Inferno, and furthermore, the soundtrack of perpetual torment. Of course, this is a comparison that many death metal bands receive throughout their career, and one that is usually considered an innate quality of the genre. Defeated Sanity however, amplify any presuppositions one might have of Hell and turn it ten-fold. With Chapters, they provide a vision inimical to the typical, and capture, unapologetically so, the darkest facets of human depravity.

bought this today... sooooo good. Even though I was kind of worried by the sticker on the front that said "the. most. brutal. release. of. 2010.", its absolutely excellent. the best brutal death I've listened to since Abysmal Torment.

The production is just too off for this to get warrent a 5, especially when Paradogma was so much better. The production nearly ruins the album.
