I doubt it'll get worse than this, but then again, Forbidden is one of the few records I haven't heard by Sabbath.

I only own a few Ozzy and Dio era Sabbath albums, Master of Reality being my all-time favorite of theirs.

omg That bad? It can't be real. I just listened to few seconds of the title track. So yes, it's that bad. Ian's voice is unrecognizable, so is Black Sabbath.
Good good Nag, you got my vote.

I will say that it does have their most horrendous album cover

Mikael Akerfeldt said once in an interview he thinks this is a fantastic record.

More proof Akerfeldt should never be listened to or taken seriously by anyone. Ever.

"Keep away from the digital bitch!" God, terrible album, especially on Gillan's part. Bad production, Ward's not up to par, Geezer's often inaudible. "Zero the Hero" is a borderline classic, but because it's the only good part of th ealbum, they STREETCH it out to where it's just as bad ass everything else. "Zero would have been a good three-minute track but they stretch it to over six!

Nice review, man. Somebody had to do it!

You guys are nuts, but you knew that already. This album wasn't THAT bad.
It's just most sabbath fans are in the Ozzy or Dio camp, sometimes accepting of both. Is Born Again as good as Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Heaven and Hell ? No, it's not.. but for a one off album with yet another singer, I think it's a worthwhile listen and definitely not their worst effort. Lots of interesting riffs on this one.. the only song I could have done without was "Keep it warm".

Bad luck for him not seeing him with either Ozzy or Dio.

Really good review.

BA isn't as bad as it is pointed out, it has some good moments.

I think the terrible cover worked as a negative factor.

I personaly dont think this album was as bad as people say it is, the main problem is that it just didnt live up to the potential there was here.

This actually is a pretty good record. I think if the mix was better, the album would be better. In fact, I heard they are going to remaster this or it has already been done. You should check this out, killer live version of "Black Sabbath" with Ian on vox. You may reconsider and give it another shot!
