Sun Ra is one seriously blazed up dude. Have you heard his music? Sun Ra’s main interesting point throughout his career is that, the whole time, he thought he was abducted by aliens. Bizarre, believe you me. What’s stranger, is the fact that his most famous album, produced in the 70s under the name Space Is The Place, is a record that revolves around his obtuse, stoned out of his mind thoughts, and has Sun Ra trying to relate to listeners through hypnotic jazz revolving around spacey effects. It’s horrible, but it’s beautiful, truly wonderful and a highlight in his career. This was in the 1972, when jazz wasn’t supposed to be existing other than the already fading Jam jazz of Miles Davis.

Wow, well this one is an instant winner. Fuses chill grooves with off-kilter musicianship rather delectably

Oh wow, yes I really do love this. Considering a strong insta-4 for this beauty

I almost feel like the album title is the absolutely perfect representation of what's contained within, yet still doesn't (quite) reflect how warped some of this is. Remarkable harmony

I was certain I had this 4.0'd as well but can find no actual record of that anywhere - not here, nor RYM, nor my personal excel file. So maybe I'm fucking making that up but I am listening to this right now and am 100% certain I have heard this before, several times actually.

With all these safeguards in place I'm not sure how a mistake this egregious is made.

"safeguards" lol. It's serious business this music cataloguing lark

I have a discrepancy between here and the 'other site' in total number of ratings (annoying) and have recently noticed a few minor rating differences too
