I didn't check those out. I'll have to take some time to get caught up. Haven't listened to nearly enough prog lately.

It's great to go through their stuff chronologically, it's amazing to hear the transitions. I'd put this off if I were you and first do the other two. I have Starless and Red written already, so they'll be up tomorrow and the day after, but then it'll be a break before more Crimson reviews, so no rush.

Sounds like a plan.

Ved, I agree with Nag about the chronology. If you dig 'Red', be prepared to appreciate both 'Larks' and 'Starless and Bible Black'

Nag, I urge you to be my official translator. ;)

Be sure I'll let you know about the 'USA' project.

Double post, I know.

I had a feeling you would say that shindip. Definitely my favourite era as well, though I also love this one.

I had this at a 3 at first too, but after a few listens I said to myself: 'hey, this is actually pretty damn good'.

I prefer this to Starless, actually, but definitely not to Red, which is amazing apart from Providence.

im kinda excited to see your beat/perfect pair reviews. i find those albums to be rather overshadowed by their other work

You'll have to bring up some patience for that, I'm taking a little break after these three again, continuing with Sabbath and probably some other stuff.

also interested to see your thoughts on discipline, kinda sick of seeing those undeserving 5 reviews ;)

I don't seem to like Discipline as much as many either. It's a fantastic album and an unexpected new sound, but not everything quite manages to amaze me. Will be a 4 or a 4.5.

Well, you're named after a different prog band than King Crimson.

Pretty much yeah. You can call me a proghead. That's the way I grew up.

Listening and playing drums on this fabulous kind of music.
