Awesome Jared. Could never get into these guys though. What are my chances of liking this if I don't like The Lonesome Crowded West?

you have to be worth something to like lonesome crowded west, otherwise just stick with m&a like the rest of the p4k crew

My friend force fed this album down my throat during a 12 hour drive to Georgia. Most painful ride of my life until we got there and i couldn't help but hum every song in order. Ace review as usual.

^^ I think there's a good chance you'd enjoy them. M&A is a good place to start, it's a good mix of their older (coughbettercough) sound and their newer, more accessible sound. Plus the very first track is one of their best.

I think you'd really love this album, robin. And thanks, yeah I tried to summarize what was going on in the album overall through that song example, though it became a pretty big sentence.

i do really like the lonesome crowded west and so i downloaded pretty much everything else by them. but they have something abrasive about them (i'm guessing it's intentional :p) that ticks me off. i think you're probably right that i should give this a go tho

Great review Jared but you forgot to mention the best track, and their best overall track, Gravity Rides Everything.
