hah, I did not get that vibe, but I'll give it another listen with that in mind. I agree with somberlain on his assessment of Healthy Distrust.

thanks for the love guys

maybe its my rock roots that are affecting my rating but i like this better than human. human had like 3 good songs, while this album is cohesive and sounds like it used the the time it took to make. i agree with your standouts inveigh, and im giving it a 3-3.5. plus i preordered this so im optimistic about this

i get the versions/tropic rot era PTW vibe from little houdini, maybe it's the really dark, countryish sound to the song? ehh idk

^I do get a dark, country-ish sound from it I just didn't connect it to PTW for some reason, surprisingly enough I guess considering I'm generally pretty obsessed with The Tropic Rot.

i'm essentially with ya there.

haha, always man. but especially with that album and Love Potion 4 I feel like Mac did something similar to this but better. There were quite a few tracks on those album that used instruments like harmonica, acoustic guitar, banjo etc that Sage used on this album. I just liked those songs by Mac so much more.

It's sad that the guy really only put out one memorable album, while the rest just fell to the side

yeah it really does. I even 5'd it for awhile, but then I came back to earth.

yeah it's basically true. The Makeshift Patriot EP's pretty awesome, and Healthy Distrust is definitely good, but everything else is hit or miss.
