Cheers guys. And Essence, you want to explain your comment? Because everything I said there I stand by 100%.

let's see, Awaken the Dreamers definitely had less melody and BMTH have never been any kind of standard to measure deathcore
by. then again when you consider that 99% of deathcore is shitty, they kind of are.

in fact, i propose the creation of a 'do they suck as hard as BMTH' deathcore quality scale

Well I disagree, I think Awaken The Dreamers has alot more melody than their previous albums, and I wasnt attempting to defend BMTH's work, I was just saying that in their earlier work they pretty much summed up what 99% of deathcore was about, and they definatley were the most popular over here and influenced a hell of alot of English bands (which is another reason why I mentioned them, to give a example of a band from the same country).

Awaken the dreamers had more melody. but other than the solo's, it sucked pretty bad

Ha, yeah man definatley, Im not saying I prefer it over The Price Of Existence by any means, I was just making a point. TPOE is one of my favourite albums, and I agree ATD was not half as good

All shall perish going a little bit melodic isn't a bad thing in my eyes. Their songs actually became tons more intresting and the songwriting is just bliss. Well imma spend a few days listening to this band. They seen promising

BMTH's early stuff was melo-death.

They basically sounded like TDBM w/ breakdowns.

Bleed from Within are doing the whole melo-death w/ breakdowns but they're doing it tastefully.

I should have mentioned 'The Weaker One' in the review. That song just slays.

The Last Of Our Kind is probably my favourite, along with the dual guitar solo in Emperor.
