Just understand that Dream Theater is a great band, and that you are wrong. The only reissurance I need for the fact that you are wrong is looking at your 5 for an Arsis album.

you're even more of a retard than i originally thought

Awake is perfect. Those of you who rated it under excellent did not actually listen to it well enough.

i rated it under excellent because the music is subpar.

but it's too bad you can't appreciate the band that influenced one of your favorite genres. There is no Colors without Dream Theater.

But BTBAM > DT
DT is the most inconsistent band ever.

Good review, too bad Dream Theater's vocalist is awful.

Thanks, all.

@NeutralThunder: Yes, I am reviewing the Change of Seasons EP, only because the title track is very important in DT's discography. I'm not reviewing the Wither EP because it doesn't add anything new.

@Deviant: I've only listened to Falling Into Infinity twice at this point, I need to give it several more listens before I deliver my final verdict and write the review, but it has failed to impress me thus far.

Yep, this and the other two albums you mentioned are their best, I like Six Degrees but not nearly as much.

I too find it weird when people love one and despise the other... you don't have to love them equally, but one isn't far from the other.

Great review ties, here's your pos.

That was a great read and an excellent review, pos'd. Couldn't possibly have done it better since I would just fap over too many details ;)

And I agree, James LaBrie is really awesome on this. One moment I always look forward to when I put this on, is the second verse in Innocence Faded. The highs he does reach never cease to amaze me. Probably too much cheesiness for some but for me that build-up crosses the line from too much cheese to pure amazement.

I think that actually might be one of my least favorite moments in this, actually, haha, but I know what you mean.

I'm glad I decided to give this more of a chance. This isn't the Dream Theater "fun" album per se, but I listen start to finish and enjoy it the whole way through, definitely one you have to pay close attention to to appreciate though.
