andcas you should listen to z-ro if you like 2pac. his old stuff is super influenced by pac and hes one of the only rappers ive ever heard that can switch between the educational shit and the thug shit.
| |
And you can look in the mirror and be proud of what you stand for and know you aren't just a marionette controlled by your label and management.
| |
Diddy is a master manipulator in my eyes. Definitely check out Z-Ro if you haven't already Andcas he is awesome. One of the best hook singers out there. You might dig Trae as well.
| |
Diddy latches on to people with talent in hopes people will think he's cool simply by association. I think Trae and Z-Ro are cousins.
| |
Mos Def's last album restored my faith in him. Big Boi's solo album is gonna be large. I'm sure of it. You like Jay Electronica Andcas? He is similar to the artists you listed.
| |
D-12 definitely went down hill after their first one. I love Big Boi though I definitely prefer Andre as part of Outkast as well. Shine Blockas, Royal Flush, and For Your Sorrows all got me pumped for Big Boi's debut if they ever release the damn thing.
| |
Dipset are talking about working together again. I still love me some Purple Haze. Cam'ron has some of the funniest lines in rap in my opinion.
| |
You need to get Purple Haze Bulldog. Its in my top twenty of all time for rap music. His other releases all pale in comparison.
| |
That was a shame because Cam'ron is a lot more creative than Fifty. I think he was intimidated physically a bit too. I don't mind Jedi Mind Tricks at all. Didn't that Army of Pharoahs offshoot just put out an album recently?
| |
At this point in his career Fifty is just grasping at straws trying to maintain any semblance of relevance. His movies suck almost as bad as his recent albums.
| |
I thought Freeway's album was pretty decent for 2010. That Cam'ron mixtape was pretty solid, like you said, hopefully the UN album is up to snuff whenever it gets released. That "I'll Adopt your child...Arthur Drummond" line makes me laugh everytime. I just think of a grown up and pissed off Gary Coleman.
| |
I'm still waiting for Big Boi and Jay Electronica to drop
| |
I'm not gonna lie I hate Nikki Minaj with a passion I wouldn't be surprised if most of her shit was written for her. Weezy is the only one in that crew I can tolerate at all. Everytime I see Drake I think of that godawful Degrassi High show.
| |
Bill O'Reilly and jack ass are like synonyms for each other.
| |
I bet they already have Bulldog
| |
She is pretty easy on the eyes. Lady or Rage and MC Lyte are the only two female emcees that I have dug. Kim's first album where Biggie wrote parts of it was alright too. I have gave Drake a chance and listened to his shit it's just not for me I guess. That Ricky Bobby line is by far my favourite of his and I would cosign that verse as being my favourite of his as well.
| |
Thanks for bringing up Mystic Stylez yesterday Bulldog. I'm listening to Sweet Robbery, Pt 2 right now and shit is bumping.
| |
There definitely aren't too many man. When there is one she has to exploit her sex appeal and demean herself to get any acclaim in most cases. It's pretty sad in my opinion.
| |
There are women that try to get by on their skills but it doesn't seem to be able to capture the attention of most guys that listen to rap unfortunately. If you want to appeal to the average male rap fan and you are a female emcee you have to skank it up it seems.
| |
Even chicks with skills like Yo-Yo, Mc Lyte, and Rage had a tough time selling records before Kim and Foxy came around.
