I do like that song a lot, and I like a lot of Sage Francis. When I said most overrated, I still mean that he's in the top 25% of underground emcees out there. Maybe it was the college town I lived in, but around there he was basically the Jesus of underground hip hop, and just didn't think he was worthy of that much hero-worship. He deserves a lot of the cred he gets nation-wide, but I've never heard an album from him that I loved all the way through like I have with Murs, Aesop, Atmosphere, P.O.S./Doomtree, El-P etc.
oh yeah, and Hammered In is awesome.. "they're lookin all pretty but they're actin all surly with their over-priced, over-sized basketball jerseys. sorry man, I dunno how gangster you can act when you've got another grown man's name across your back"
haha.

El-P is a great producer but his solo albums are not that consistent imo, they have great moments but all the way through I prefer Sage's albums

word, yeah, El-P's a much better producer than rapper, I guess I was just mainly talking about Fun Crusher Plus by Company Flow and I'll Sleep When You're Dead

hmm... I need to listen to Personal Journals and Healthy Distrust a lot more, I keep hearing how much better they are than Human the Death Dance (which I only liked about 4 songs off of). I've only heard select cuts from each.

also guys, not to be a moral crusader or anything here, definitely check his stuff by downloading or youtubing, but please purchase it on iTunes or through www.lethalville.net if you like it. More than just about any other hip hop artist, this guy deserves our monitary support. He's a cool dude, does everything himself independently and this is his livelihood. He doesn't charge much for shipping, and personally autographs like half the stuff he mails out.
you guys know i'm not usually one to say shit like this, but if you like his stuff, please try to contribute by actually purchasing an album or two, merch, something. SUPPORT UNDERGROUND MUZAK HOMIES.
