Ok, I've downloaded a few more songs...

I NEED THIS ALBUM NOW.

Could Fantomas be the best band ever?

I don't think it's soulless. Rosemary's Baby is scary, but there's something beautiful to it... soughta emotional, I don't know. It's a confusing track. I just love it when he stops going "la la la" and sings and the music goes awesome heavy.

The first album is way better.

From the songs I've heard (about 4), the first album has shoddy production, it's great but the production lets it down.

This on the other hand is a masterpiece of editing. I've heard 90% of the songs, and they all give off this 80's horror movie atmosphere, especially with Patton singing over the orchestrated vocals of the original tracks (best moments).

I'm buying this as soon as possible.

Spider Baby, The Godfather and DER GOLEM (it's grown to be my fave, I love the vocals now) are the shizzle.

I've been listening to this lately, and I must say, it's really great. Mike Patton is a frickin' genius.

It's not that short.... It's like 37 minutes I think.

Great review, I love the album, I think it's really good as a whole... by the way, I can't find how to quote someone, but Led_Zep_Bonham replied to OrbDragon, saying, "2/3 isn't a time signature.", but it actually is, it's 2 triplet notes. The top number is the quantity, the bottom is the count... cool stuff though, I'm new here also...

This album lacks any sort of direction. It's hard to listen to at times.

Looking at the technical aspect of the album, it's amazing but I can't seem to think this is an album rather than a collection of over-the-top, bizzare songs.

EDIT/ Is it possible that this album lost any "flow" that their other albums might have because The Director's Cut is a bunch of reinterpreted songs/scores?This Message Edited On 05.14.07
