Intermission is exactly what they say it is, an Intermission. It has nothing to do with the concept of the album and it's just a break from the seriousness of the rest of the album. A more live-friendly song.

picked it up when it dropped man, i enjoy it. i just look at this stuff like action figures when i was kid. i dont think i ever took it seriously, i think i just thought they were cool looking. in this case, its not the suspenders im into, but just loud guitars and drums with descent packaging.

sounds pretty boring.

But it's Sumerian, you must check it out!

It really isn't a bad album man, definitely top 10 deathcore tbh. Really catchy stuff.

Finished listening, and I really enjoyed Carlito's Way, but that's it.

so i redid most of the review. I put some serious thought into the weak spots of it and tried to make good changes.

review reads much better, nice one but get rid of implying as you said before. The word you mean is 'employing' backing riff...

Being relatively unknown to the rest of the 'Hardcore Scene' zombies out there, Upon has brought a band-aid to stop the flow of blood from a dying trend which is 'The Scene'. The diagnosis has yet to be determined if first aid came pre or post death. Many have declared that “Hardcore is dead and Sumerian pulled the plug by cloning retard after hardcore retard, swing their fat arms in a spin kick death spasm!”
Has Upon a Burning Body been invited to the Sumerian sorority house only to find out they were the 'fat girl' to be humiliated?..and *GASP!* There are other fat chicks here too!
Lets peel back the bandage.
'The World Is Ours' seems to be the bands mission statement. In their breakdown, blast beat, gore vocal manifesto, this freshman first draft seems to be doing something right. The fact that the album was uploaded on Demonoid by some brutal-tard before the album was set to be released reflects some sort of thirst out there for these boys and that says something. Sumerian may have a gifted mongoloid on their hands, a cloning happy accident if you will. The album seems to be typical for its genre but an underlying, familiar feel to it permeates through, as if you know whats coming around the bend. ”Hi-ho Hi-ho...it's off to work we go” the zombies whistle along, eating their brain comfort food.
Trendy? Yes.
Cheesy lyrics? Yes.
Bury Your Dead song title rip off? Yes.
Al Pacino old? Good lord, Yes!
...but a well executed debut. Go Get'em boys! And don't forget the defibrillator, you may need it.
“Here's to you, Here's to me..but if we should disagree, to hell with you and here's to me!”
-Intermission lyrics.

definitely one of the weaker sumerian bands, tbh.
sounds pretty boring to me. chelsea grin/conducting from the grave eat them any day.

No Deathcore bands do it for money or to get popular. They just dont have a wide enough music influence to make anything worthwhile.

rise is a label you should bitch about.
