@ xstaytrue18x , their debut ep Bretton is straight up hardcore, far q is closer to punk rock, and the new stuff is far more accessible grungey punk to clear that up. On the subject of live performances, i saw them a few weeks ago on their headline tour and they were amazing, lots of energy, everyone knew all the words to the songs and they played 2 new ones which were just as good as the ones that we did know

Looks like I'm one year too late on these conversations. I love this cd. Face Full Of Scars has one of the best chorus's ever.

Somewhat foregoing the frantic hardcore of EP 'Bretton', English rockers Lower Than Atlantis aim more for a melodic punk sound on debut LP 'Far Q'. Urgent, energetic & occasionally rather catchy, LTA are now far from a "covers band", as they admirably look to find a niche sound. The observational, humorous & extremely forthright lyrics will continue to polarize, but are undoubtedly superior to the crass misogynist tripe of 'Bretton'. The quartet may not entirely seem comfortable on the sound they have landed on here, but their evolution is both clear & filled with promise. Recommended Tracks: Face Full of Scars, I'm Not Bulimic, Far Q & B.O.R.E.D.

This is their best one! World record does alright and then every after is mediocre.

Maybe a hot take, but they only got better from here and properly slumped when their final album "Safe in Sound" dropped. Some good musicianship on this, but honestly sounds too messy and the shouty vocals are awful.

Just ordered the Bretton EP. I'm pretty excited since this album is rare and most of the songs aren't on any music platform now.

It might be subpar, but goddamnit I NEED IT!

I need to give this another spin. I absolutely love World Record but it feels like a completely different genre shift entirely.
