So far, the lyrics aren't really a coherent work, but they're not too bad, and although this isn't just thumping, vocoder, and synths (which is good) I don't like the high-pitched voiceovers and the drums are too EQ'd for my liking.

Well, if you don't like that there's a massive spectrum of other kinds of hip-hop that's out there. Once you realise that hip-hop isn't all crunk/dirty south whatever, that's when you begin to explore the awesomeness.



I can recommend a few more acts I like, if you want. It's also worth checking out reviews by the user "kingsoby1". He's the resident hip-hop expert on Sputnik.



Out of interest, how old are you? You seem to be really unfamiliar with hip-hop in general.

I did notice that kingsoby1 did a review for Broken Bells, and I like that album. Although, he rated it a full point higher than I did.

yeah, i mean it isnt on par technically with any other albums i gave a 4. it's one of those albums where you like it just because it hits the right spot...its relaxing, pretty sounding, cute singer imo. although she's no katy perry.

Yeah, some stuff you just don't analyze technically cause that's not the point of the music in the first place. I sure don't listen to Paramore for mind-blowing musicality.
