Excellent review. I might check this out because it's been a while since I've listened to power metal. I can never stand the genre for a very long time, but all these vocalists working together seem interesting. I thought Kiske had disassociated himself from metal these days, but I guess he might be back. I hope it is so good as you make it sound.

you know how you always have a band on your list that you keep telling yourself you're going to check out? Avantasia is that band for me. I need to do that soon.

Album is lots of fun but also repetitve aside from being cheesy. The title track rules.

Title track knocked my socks off the first time I heard it. I also don't find it all that repetitive because of the amount of vocalists on here. As for the cheesy part, it's power metal.....it is going to be cheesy =D

True about the vocalists, but power metal doesn't have very different sounding ones. I could easily distinguish Owens, but the rest I couldn't easily make out. And I don't at all mind the cheesiness, I was in a bit for that at the moment. Also, wasn't Kiske claiming he didn't want anything to do with (power) metal?

Yeah I think he said that but I'm sure since I have never been a huge Kiske fan. As for distinguishing vocalists, I guess I've heard them so much that I know the difference haha.

Me neither, although he was great with Helloween on the Keepers albums. I just discovered this is actually a two-parter with the Angel of Babylon coming out at the same time. You're going to review that as well?

Yeah I'm thinking about doing it and probably will in a few days. It definitely won't be getting as

much praise as this though. It's a little more boring than this.

I like The Wicked Symphony a lot more than Angel of Babylon. It took me some time to really appreciate the record, but now I just love it. You should have included Andre Matos in your vocalists list. He's just great and his work in Blizzard On a Broken Mirror is a definite highlight.

Yeah I agree with this review almopst completely. It's been years and you and I still love power metal as much as always. Although I think we both favor the unique stuff like this and A Twist In A Myth more than the generic stuff, and rightfully so.

A very plesant album with some memorable tracks. However since Hellfire Club, I think there's something lacking on Tobi's records. Good review nonetheless.

Is it just like Scarecrow in terms of being sickeningly cheesy? This was incredibly cheesy and bombastic, but not in the same vain as the worst moments of The Scarecrow were. This was just fun.
