My God the lyrics are awful, the melodies have been done to death and the vocal mixes are urghh, but the guitar work saves this from 2sville.

Mediocre poppy-rock at best. Most of the songs are bland and uninspired. And the Paradise City cover is blasphemy.

I have to say that I actually like this album. It is much better than Chinese Democracy, (I guess we know who were the real musicians in G N R; izzy, duff and slash? hmm?) That is my opinion at least.
What I really like is that even though Slash still likes the blues solo's his guitar playing appears to have matured. It is a little slower and more melodic. I like it. (personal opinion of course).
The only issue with his playing is the wah on every solo, I mean ya Slash plays a les paul through a marshall, that is his sound but I mean there are a boatload of pedal effects he could have used to change up the sound a tiny bit.
Oh well, at least you can tell it is him right off the bat.  . Still like the album with the exception of the fergie song, not that her voice is bad it just has a weird melody to it...

I've heard the two songs by Myles Kennedy and love 'em. I mean come on, it's Myles and Slash. It also has some of my favorite artists like Chris Cornell, so im going to have to give the whole thing a listen soon.

Slash and Axl are both very talented musicians.
But neither will make good enough material as long as they are separated.
I hope they will realise this one day, put aside their differences and their ego and reunite.
