"The Balls I met two years ago would have loved this shit.... you're getting jaded"

Further proof that I was nothing but a dunce.

This is actually a pretty well done album. They also have this wall-of-sound thing going on if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, it's just a nice collection of melodic metal songs, and that's all what's needed for me to be satisfied.

No seriously, fuck everyone who starts hating on stuff as soon as it isn't one of the most original things ever done.

I'm not sure if this is aimed at me or not, but I did give this a 3 which = good, so I can't say I was exactly "hating" on this record.

Good review.

I like the album but i feel that it is a bit "edgeless"...

The clean vocals are shit.

The clean vocals aren't the greatest, but the melodies and layered harmonies are pretty cool... they just need a stronger vocalist to really pull them off. Plus every chorus is a little too similar (but still good).

This album doesn't have much of an edge, but it does have its moments.

Hah, about 2 years later I'm kinda agreeing with Balls that this is, indeed, some fruity ass shit haha. Still good for a spin or two though (even if I haven't listened to this in a long time).

Also, first page had/has some good, friendly jabbing going on, I wish there was more of that nowadays too in the community here.

Yep, it was a regular affair between you, Willie, Balls, and myself.

Good times. ;)

It is a bit fruity in places, but not everything has to be evil and aggressive from start to finish. I still throw this on when I'm in the mood for something moderately heavy that is still pretty upbeat.

Try out Profane Omen's Destroy! the next time you have one of those moods. It's heavy enough, upbeat, and not fruity in the least! Oh and they are also from Finland. Connections abound.

The intro riff on Killdream is awesome.

The new album is way heavier than this. It's like they took all the criticism from this review and morphed it into their new album.. ha ha... but seriously.
