I think I prefer Stabbing the Drama to this now actually, though this is probably my third favorite.
Chainheart Machine is where its though.
You are walking in my footsteps of where I was a couple years back. You begin to realize after some time has passed that Stabbing the Drama is their most mature album to date.

This is the only Soilwork album I could never find in stores. Hell I find Arcturus, De Mysteriss Dom Sathanas in stores but not this. Nonetheless, solid album. I need to replay.
I have a feeling their new album will be ehavy as a brick to the face. Not only because of Peters return but also because they picked up a guitar player from Scarve, heavy-Meshuggah type band. This Message Edited On 01.02.09

Scarve kind of suck hahaha. None the less, as long as they don't make another disaster like their last one.

best thing about this band is their fucking awesome band name

1.2.3. Wizards know what the fuck they're talking about. Band had been solid until the last craptacular album. 20 mIles Away was amazing though.

The highlight of their career in my opinion. Perfect mix of fast/slow melodic riffing with memorable solos

I was obsessed around the time i joined sputnik two years ago, but its grown off of me so much since then. Chainheart Machine is better than this, though Bastard Chain, Needlefeast, and Shadowchild still rule.

I have no idea how that joke would work but I'm sure it's a good one

It's not that bad for a 2.5

This is definitely my favorite Soilwork album. Chainheart machine is actually stellar too, as is Steelbath and NBC, but Predator's Portrait in my opinion is the best example of this type of Swedish death metal going on in the early 2000s. In Flames' Colony would have a pretty strong argument, but this album is damn-near perfect.
