This a decent review. I like that you focus on what Alkaline Trio actually is: dark, sensitive and very smartly written lyrics (poetic even) and raw energy.This is the agenda Alkaline Trio came out with right off the bat with this album. However, as an album overall compared to other punk bands' albums and even the rest of Alk 3's albums, I give this album of 3, which is a hell of a good job I feel for a starting album. I love this album, but technically it's "just good" BUT good enough to get people talking and get people hooked. I feel that for this reason, the album could be rated 4 or 4.5 for its importance to the band and to the punk scene.
