I was kind of expecting this to be a terrible review but it was well written, I hope it's not as bad as you make it out to be...

i would argue that the only good vocalist in this band is johnny craig, but his ego always gets in the way of his actual voice. definitely won't be listening to this.

Cool someone else who hates Craig Owens.

Dude can sing, though his consistency is pretty shitty.. end.

This is exactly how I expected. Cheesy as shit but still fun and catchy. I think you were a little harsh.

Yeah this review made it sound like Craig is factually a good singer when it's such a split opinion (I like him, but Johnny is by far the best here).

The radio released tracks were alright, gonna pick this up eventually.

Summary: The Hearts of Lonely People is an example of a collaborative effort that far exceeds the individual parts and contributions that put it together.

Isles and Glaciers came together in Seattle in December of 2008, put their individual egos aside (which for some was considerable), and created a sound unlike any they had individually ever done before. The cohesion of the group, the sound and tone, is remarkable given their short stay recording with Casey Bates. Fans and newcomers will delight in the vocal gymnastics of Jonny, Vic and Craig – it’s a competition to excel and the listener is the winner. This is a blend of musical expression that will unfortunately not be re-created again soon since all the members have gone on with their respective primary projects – but for slightly less than 27 minutes on seven tracks they realized heights that mainstream-label groups try for years to attain. Special kudos go out to Nick Martin and B (Brian) South (Southall) who took threads of ideas and tied them together in a cohesive and powerful way – showcasing each vocal member in a blend of texture and substance. It becomes a distinctive sound with personality and life – here’s hoping that Seattle can capture and harness these remarkable artists again in the near future.

With all the vocals, the sound, the music – we can only dream of “Pervigilium in Seattle”.

Why do people buy into Johnny and Craigs vocal masturbation, this is just another CD for these

douches to be like DUDEZ I CAN SENG REEL GUUD K?

and all the little scenesters are gonna be like:

DEWDxx, This is AMAZIngG. WhRe r Scramz?

Ah I feel better, Mini rants

Edit : I'm so conflicted about how I feel about all of the vocalists in this band. They all annoy me

with the amount of terrifyingly annoying ego's they possess but they are all pretty alright

singers..So, I'm ..confused?

Parts are okay. Vic Fuentes' vocals are atrocious. The instrumentals are great. The songs with vocals are hard to get through.

agree completely on the bland nature of the instrumentation, however vic fuentes' vocals were the worst part of the album. He doesn't blend well with craig and owens.

A.) Owens is an absolutely terrible vocalist

B.) Fuentes is an absolutely terrible vocalist

C.) Johnny is a good vocalist who doesn't know how to use his voice. Let's mumble a few lines and then belt ineffectively in a predictable manner.

D.) The best part of this album was the subtle programming

It comes down to: how much do you like the vocalists?

Jonny Craig is has an indisputably great voice.

Craig Owens pretty much is loved or hated.

Vic Fuentes is so nasally it would be hard to do anything more than put up with his vocals

But I love Jonny's voice, and really like Owens too, and I can stand Vic. So this turned out to be a pretty enjoyable listen. Nothing real exciting going on here but it's definitely not bad, and the inter-play between the vocalists actually turned out pretty well instead of just being vocal masturbation from a few scene icons (although there is plenty of vocal masturbation going on here). Definitely a 3-3.5 for me, going with 3.5 for now.
