Varg needs to start a supergroup with Bard Faust and a reanimated Jon Nodveidt. That would be fucking kvlt. Murderer's Row.

I agree with most of the review but most of the riffs on here are just too boring and simplistic to even keep the short songs interesting.

Borezum ftw

he didn't stab someone 27 times with a broken bottle

they counted every little cut on euronymous as a stab, and he fell down a set of metal stairs, of course he'd get cut on the way down

anyway, to the point, great album

This certainly has its moments, Belus' Dod had me a little concerned with thin guitars and drum parts initially but the entire album has that repetitive, hypnotic quality I enjoyed about the earlier material.

Given a few more listens I might appreciate it more.

To all you haters, posting truth to rub it into your crap taste in metal:

the entire album has that repetitive, hypnotic quality I enjoyed about the earlier material.

So really, if you like old Burzum and think this is shit, you really have no idea what the fuck your talking about. Fact!

I agree with the comment about the vocals being somewhat disappointing but the more I thought about it... I'm glad he did not try and reprise his style on Burzum or Aske... there is no way he would be able to reproduce it 20 years later. The vocals work for this album and his guitar work is right up there with the early stuff. Someimtes it is just trendy to hate an album because it is over hyped.

Personally, I haven't stopped smiling since I picked this up - so good to hear new Burzum.

Why the fuck do people want to hear the same thing twice? I mean, the guy was in jail for 17 years, do you really expect him to write another Filosofem or Hvis Lyset Tar Oss? Guaranteed when this starts getting the attention it deserves, you will see ALOT of people wagon-jump.

its not the fact i want to hear the same thing, its the fact the quality of Belus does not match the quality of his earlier work. Your argument is stupid im sorry. Yes i used arguments with his previous work to show where i think it hinders, it doesn't mean i want the same deal. At the end of the day, this is not as good as his earlier work in my opinion.
