If you've written a review for a Maddening Media band and they liked it, it's pretty easy to get them to send you one. You write much better reviews than I do so you could probably get on their promo list (which would be a good idea now, especially with Ikuinen Kaamos's full-length coming out soon).

listening to the myspace tracks now. it's generally good stuff, but has a really heavy focus on the symphonic elements. not a bad thing, since i myself play cello, but still, it's a little off balanced.

too soon to rate it, i'll keep listening.

This one grew off me a bit. It's still pretty awesome and will most likely be the best symphonic bm album released this year, but it's still not quite as good as their debut.

I liked the overall story of the first better, though I think this is an improvement musically. Also, the album's fairly short length helped for me too in some ways.

oh, is this a concept album? if it is, i'll have to check out the lyrics.

another good example of a concept album is "I, Colossus". although not a very good album, especially compared with this, the lyrics tell a very good story

I wouldn't doubt if the whole album was downloaded from youtube, the quality really sucks. Hopefully a better quality will surface

So these guys are from my native Holland, are they now? This is not my thing though. You keep deserving the pos's I give you.

this is not my kind of music really, but because you kept praising them so hard throughout the review I'll give their myspace a go just for verification. Who knows, maybe I'll actually like what I hear. Also, bloody excellent review Jared, great stuff.

EDIT: I'm with Zipper, sounds not bad, but pretty homo haha

i think that the fact that they wear train conductor uniforms kills it for me

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of these kiss-like costumes some bands like this like to wear, but the music of these guys is great.

Thanks, Styles.

no lol if they looked like they were from slipknot, they'd be white trash kids who wear plastic masks.

Missed this review, thanks for pointing it out. Symphonic bm generally isn't something I overly enjoy but I'll put this on my list because you generally know what's up. Pos.

this is excellent music and if someone cannot see it, then his taste has a problem.

I was really excited when you said that this is a good gateway to the world of black metal, because I've been meaning to get into the genre but never knew where to begin.

But in the very next sentence you said that if you weren't a fan of black metal, you wouldn't like this album.

Contradictions Collapse?
