Yeah, dance-rock fits these guys also. I'm starting to hate genres full stop.

"Did they do the local rounds before striking it big?"

Yeah I was aware of them for a good year or two before they started to get noticed. I also know a chick who used to tap the
singer when they were doing the local rounds.

To tell the truth, i'm not sure how they got so well known so quickly - I know they're getting views on youtube and myspace, but
literally a year ago they were just another local band (albeit a well produced and obviously quite talented local band).

Truly not a bad album, but it lacks depth.

Intersting Jimmyisjonny, but sometimes it's a very fine line between obscurity & success. It can only take 1 song to get played somewhere on radio & then the word of mouth carries. My guess is that maybe an English radio station picked up one of their singles & the rest is history. It's good to see that they did do the local rounds first though.

I'm gonna disagree Donkey... I actually think it's quite consistent & most of the songs could be released as singles. If anything, it's the variety that is more of an issue imo.

2 words maximum please Strikey. But on that, you would probably classify 2DCC as indie-rock.

And yes Paddy, there is a bit of Vampire Weekend here... Especially in 1-2 songs. I think I remembered to include them in the Reco by Reviewer section.

it seems like a fun listen but nothing you'll get into so much that you'll call it one of your favorite indie bands

"it seems like a fun listen but nothing you'll get into so much that you'll call it one of your favorite indie bands" Fair call. I'd have to say I agree, but it's only their debut, so hopefully they can improve.

"you were right, i did enjoy this. its nothing im gonna be listening to in a few years but for now its pretty cool" Thought so Ali. See above comment. Way too many U.K bands peak at their debut anyway, so hopefully this is just the start for these guys.

"i'm going to slap you knott" If you slap a knott on Adam, he may strikey you back.

all I can think is that these guys probably dig French New Wave cinema and that is totally a totally unfounded hypothesis.
