You must be getting something out of this CD that I'm not. I would've given Reborn and Wake Up lower than that. I don't really like this guys screams or growls that much, some of his singing is pretty good though.
On the song **** You I quite like the whole guitar slide after slide thing, the music in the song is pretty good while the vocals (+ lyrics) kill it for me. Also, question, it says Corey Talor does back up vox on it, it sounds like his voice the entire song, is it not?
Pros
Some good guitar parts
Vocalist's unique voice
Cons
double bass parts are quiet and background
Vocalist's unique voice
Distorted vocals suck/are annoying

I didn't like this album. Weak guitar and I was pretty disappointed by the lack of solos.

i loved this ablum! thought it was more "3d" that pantera was - Vinnie had definatly improved hell of a lot! did u hear that damageplans 2nd album will b commin out soon and 30 unreleashed pantera songs!

i love damageplan...i don't know what makes them "radio-friendly"...and i am tired of hearing about nu-metal...
dime wasn't just solo guitar...if you really look he didn;'t rip as many solos as most metal guitarists do...i don't know why people focus on that aspect...
he is however by far one of the greatests guitarists ever.
damageplan did move into making a more modern sound...they sound sort of like drowning pool at times...but dime loved them and i guess he wanted to move to that type of sound...the music was still awesome for me...and i wish i could have seen where damageplan could have gone...
...???where did you hear damageplan's second album was coming out???This Message Edited On 02.13.06

They don't have another album coming out. Dime's passed away (R.I.P.), Vinnie's got other stuff on his mind, and the vocalist has already made a new band.

I miss Diambag Darrel. I sort of liked this better than most of Pantera's material. This Message Edited On 02.20.06

Diambag...
Man, this has nothing on Pantera, but it's still okay. RIP Dime.

This was dissapointing.

I never liked Pantera, for I always found Phil's vocals annoying. I always liked Dime, though, and was hoping this band would kick ass. I still need to hear the rest of the album but so far it is kind of disappointing.

Theres some really good stuff on this, you just have to look hard to find it. Moment of Truth is an ace track, with a beautiful solo by the man himself.

NFP has got some good ground breaking stuff like soul bleed and moment of truth. On the other hand it's a little nu metal for my taste dime and vinnie could of done this a little better.Overall it's an OK attempt to do something other than pantera understandably so.
