Every fucking band in the world during the 90's were forced to change their original sound to a more alternative-grungy sound. The joke was that there were bands that did it right (skid row, kiss) and those which did it wrong (I can think of...def leppard)

but KISS were shit during the 90's (as with every other decade tbh)
