I think you need to see a doctor, you've got split personalities so advanced they made accounts on Sputnikmusic.com

Does the rest of their stuff sound like this? Because the shoegaze elements absolutely rule.

their debut is more glitchy, basic stuff, home recorded, etc. and sleep well starts down this road but isn't quite as far developed

Severely underrated album.

Good review, although I don't agree when you write that their two previous albums only had standout songs. I always felt like both albums were very coherent. They had a theme all the way through each of them and all the songs were strong pieces of music.
Anyway they should be proud. Achieving three marvelous albums in a row is pretty rare nowadays ;)

I was on the edge of a 3 but after the review, I thought I would agree.

I think it's my least favorite of their three albums but that's not to say it's bad at all. Really consistently good band. I agree Turbomitch, their other two albums were definitely cohesive and had a theme.

sleep well is waay more lush with all the electronic pads and guitars coated in delay. much more of a post-indie record, if you will. the debut is also great, more acoustic and glitchy like those above said. this record never really clicked with me, aside from the violent blue, the ocean floor, and maybe a few moments here and there. much more radical face-ish
