Yeah, but hard rock just seems the easiest general genre to call 'em. They do have a lot of different sounds though, and that is why they are one of my favorite bands.

This album is the shit. Overdose, Rapture, Forever, House Carpenter, just so many awesome songs to mention.

I agree Burn, I just hate when Hurt gets grouped in the mainstream hard rock market. And Payne, if the entire album was like Overdose, Rapture and House Carpenter I'd consider 5ing this quite honestly.

haha yeah i am. i personally think vol 2 is their best, but i tend to listen to vol 1 the most. and i just realized youre the one who wrote a review for all their albums. i should take a look at your others ones too, figuring that so far all of your reviews have been spot on.

My Goodbye to the Machine one was like the first review I wrote here and really doesn't reflect my view on the album/my writing (i have to edit that sometime in the near future), but besides that I think we're agreed everywhere else. Vol. II is one of my favorite albums.

Finally made a step to kind of fixing that by sounding off my true feelings for GttM. Still want to edit the review at some point in my life.

Your edit to the soundoff makes a bit more sense actually. I have a feeling if they continue to go in the same direction they have been going, they'll lose some of the originality they had with Volumes I and II. Their last wasn't bad by any means, but I would've preferred Volume III.

I've been getting into this lately. I can see why you hype these guys so much, Romulus.
