Yeah I know, but most of those '87 releases were like 6 months after 'Licensed' so I threw them in. Radio (and this is all imo) is fantastic production wise, it just went for something more minimal, either way it still holds up well. And Run? They'll always sound good to me. Truth be told, I actually find this album to be slightly dated

I'm not saying you should listen to it!
I'm saying hip hop-wise this was the best at the time and it's held up better than anything from that time
@ Deviant you're entitled to your opinion but Run DMC and LL's production was waaay too simple and I might b alone in this but I like the Beasties raps better than Run DMC

yes but my point is you can make a turd look better by comparing it to the holocaust but its still a turd

You've made that comparison?

would you rather step in a turd or the holocaust deviant?

Haha neither qwe3. I just likied the comparison (as much as anyone can enjoy something that involves the holocaust anyway).

Well written review, pos'd, however I strongly disagree with the rating. No Sleep Till Brooklyn, Slow and Low, Rhymin and Stealin, and Paul Revere are all highlights IMO, including the ones you mentioned.

this album is super badass, considering the appeal and influence it has had on the genre
shirking it off as something mediocre bleeds ignorance
