Eh, these songs just don't seem to actually go anywhere at all - they ditched the pop sensibility and seemed to throw structure out along with it in order to be different and it's all so aimless. But if someone likes the sound...

Agree on ditching the pop sensibility Alex... But I don't think it's all as aimless as you believe it to be. Although, as I said in the review, there are indeed a few too many missed steps.



But philly, there's lots of bright colours... & balls.

Thanks Ali. I absolutely have no issues at all with people saying the 2nd half of this album is poor. It is definitely over-ambitious for the most part & really out there. I'm surprised at myself for liking 'Before the Earth was Round' for example, but I just saw another review saying it is the front-runner for worst song of the year!

Ok 'WTF?' is really good, but this doesn't warrant a 3 for just one song davey. Maybe a 1.5 or if I'm feeling generous a 2.

I totally agree with you IF you like just one song. I clearly like more than 1. Plus, many songs are growers... even 'WTF?' imo. I can't say I really really liked it all that much on 1st listen. But even that grew on me. And if you like that, you should also like 'White Knuckles' at the very least.

Well it can't hurt to give it another listen. Or can it?
