Ah, this is no surprise as 50th. Have been basically off sputnik since Christmas, so haven't kept up with that Incubus discog of yours, but this is once again great work. Not quite ready to give it a full-on 5 yet.

You could have mentioned how much more confident and powerful Daltrey's vocals have become in comparison to Tommy and Who's Next (which is, imo, not a hard rock album). If he had been sounding as undeveloped as on Tommy, this wouldn't be half as good I think. But hell, just my cup 'o tea. A worthy 50th, if you keep reviewing like this I'd better watch my own count.

Thanks for the pos's guys. In terms of Who's Next being a hard rock album, it was hard rock for the day, along with Zeppelin and some others that we wouldn't consider hard rock now.

Could you do Tommy? I don't think the review does the "concept" justice, but I still haven't read all the reviews so I can't really say :-/

I'll try, I actually got the album today and I'll probably give it some time before I attempt the review.

Zeppelin is the definition of hard rock.

They were the first

Zep may have been the first, but they were soon outmatched in the 'hard' part of hard rock by Purple and Sabbath.
