Really bodom? I'd put Grenades ahead of A Crow.... personally.

Crow has Sick Sad Little World, (best Incubus song behind New Skin), Pistola, Megalomaniac, Leech, Here in My Room...etc. Light Grenades has a few standouts but no classics and it does have some lame filler. Not a bad album though.

As would I. It's so coherent, conceptual and consistent that I really don't understand the negativity towards it

this ultimately though lol

I enjoy A Crow... but I felt let down in parts, still a decent effort though.
I think Sputnik is in unanimous vote that S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is full of win though

Crow was my least favorite at first but if you give it enough attention it grows on you. Light Grenades is a good album, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't have any material that is particularly amazing like every other Incubus album. And I don't like Earth to Bella at all really.

i dunno... i always thought Pendulous Threads and Anna Molly were among the best incubus songs, especially the latter

Crow is better than Light Grenades although both are really great.

Light Grenades has Pendulous Threads, the title track and Rogues

but then Crow has Sick Sad Little World, Pistola, Talk Shows, Priceless AND the title track. Definitely a solid Incubus album and the only bad song on there is Megalomaniac and Southern Girl is eh sometimes

Both Crow and Light Grenades have their moments, but they don't live up to the band's earlier stuff. I'll get into that when I get to those reviews.

When I first heard Anna Molly it rekindled my interest in these guys...This is a band I feel doesn't meet their potential somehow

I feel like they record what is safe now. They create a few radio singles and a solid record overall, but nothing more really.

maybe they just lost a vital part of their sound, ie: Dirk

.....this may be an ongoing discussion

Ben Kenney is really good too though, but I agree that their sound changed when Dirk left.

Ben Kenney is excellent, he's just not funky as shit like Dirk was.

Hey, sorry I'm late to the party man.. great review. This is an excellent album from what I remember, it's been years since I've listened to it.. I think I'll give it a spin pretty soon, maybe even tonight.
