"more electronic influenced sound she owns now"
She really doesn't own it all all

The greatest hits of a 3.5 at the most artist on one CD, does not make it a 5.
That's what I was trying to say before he went all Chris Crocker on me. Her music is way too average, and even if we take the best from all her albums, it still wouldn't make a compilation deserving of a 5. And that's even without taking into account that another compilation was released before this one, that there are only two albums separating both compilations, and that on close inspection only her first two albums were relevant successes, while her subsequent outputs have been nothing but side-notes to the drama of her personal life

| | | I honestly couldn't care less how average a popstar Britney is...she's given super catchy, addictive material so I think this album warrants a 5!

I agree that Britney doesn't write most of her songs, and she doesn't have a voice as good as Christina's. However, you guys aren't considering that a greatest hits album is not about how good the singer is or not. It is about the biggest and most remarkable songs from her entire career until that point. The tracks are widely popular, and made her what she is today. See Ke$ha, for an example. I don't like her, and she doesn't sing that much just like Britney, but she is very successful around the world because her songs are catchy.
