Because of the Times is my favorite but I love this too. I got this before they really blew up I think, plus I don't really listen to the radio so none of the songs have gotten old. I know they're big and famous now but I don't see why I should let others ruin what I enjoy. So what if they're popular, if they keep making good tunes I'll keep listening.

This definitely isn't a below average album by any means, I just find a lot of people don't like bands they used to like when they hit the mainstream and their dumb sister's start liking them.

For me, an album has to be truly horrible to get a below average rating. From listening to this record, I honestly don't think it's below average. It has good hooks, the lyrics aren't horrible and the musicianship is above average.

I really want to despise this album for precisely all the reasons mentioned in the review... however, the hooks are so sugary sweet and the album's just damn listenable. Not a rock masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but pretty fun if you only pop it in a few times a year (hah, Caleb Followill probably pops it in quite a few more times than that, amirite?)
