This is true. I think Testament's big problem was they always seemed to be 1 album behind Metallica.

Glad to see shindip is finally back. I should check out some more Testament, I read and hear they're worth it. As for Anthrax, I've only heard some Belladona-era material, but Among the Living is darn excellent.

personally, I prefer Spreading the Disease and Among the Living to pretty much anything I've got from Testament (which, admittedly, is only The New Order, The Legacy and Souls of Black -- at least albums that I own). I really need to get on this, The Gathering and Formation of Damnation.

Spreading the Disease is easily their best, and ATL's side one is perfection - side 2 blows though. Politcally driven BS - which is kind of what hurts Practice What You Preach as well...
