this is solid. I hadn't heard of these guys until a few weeks ago, really liked this.
I'm not as good at picking out all the sub genres and everything, but at least from what I have heard of the sludge metal genre, I haven't heard anything that holds a candle to Remission or Leviathan. Sub genres aside, I do agree that Mastodon have been coasting off of previous success lately.
