well, the production is absolutely abysmal. i mean, sure, devin did a great job as far as capability goes, but what he went for comes of as thin and completely bland. the guitars have absolutely no punch and when i try to listen the lines, i just get bored really, really fast. there doesn't seem to be any interesting instrumental work because their tone is just so dull that if i try to actually pay attention to the fretwork i just fall asleep. add on top of this the fact that karl is the most standard metalcore vocalist ever and you get an album i just plain don't like. recognized for competence, but disliked for blandness.

also red, you cry and bitch and flail as much as any of the other elitists on here. you know its our job

^Listening on speakers, I'd be compelled to agree, but I only ever listen to the album through headphones, and for some bizarre reason it's a completely different story then. Everything packs more punch, and it raises the overall colour of the album.

i've tried it on both... just sounds bland.. kind of disappointed in devy for this one, but he's making up for it with his TDTP releases

bah you know you have a reputation for being an asshole and people don't take you seriously for that, is what i was saying.

then again, a reputation is just a label for people to try to know someone without actually taking an interest in them, so if it makes any difference, i just think you're outspoken and say what you think (i do so a lot as well)

*shrug*

exactly

for what it's worth, i can see why people would like this, because it's not verse chorus verse like other metalcore...

just not my thing

Ulsufyring has no clue what he's talking about, and it's so hilariously obvious.

Dude needs to listen him more metalcore than like Trivium and As I Lay Dying before he pretends that he knows anything about the genre.

Production on this rules, guitars rip my face off, melodies are uber clean (just see Parallels).
