great review mate.. really starting to get into this after enjoying ironman. He is so much better in his later albums when his flow is more sporadic and his rhyming is random. definately my second favorite wu-tang member after GZA.

thx iisblackstar

you need to listen more to Ironman, Fishscale and this. Soon Ghostface will be your favorite wu-tang member!

Ghostface is my favorite Wu-Tang member, but Liquid Swords is the best Wu-affiliated album (imo). Since these are so much fun (and usually start great debates...):

Supreme Clientele>Fishscale>Ironman>Pretty Tony Album>Big Doe Rehab>Bullet-Proof Wallets>that new Ghostdeini Wizard of Poetry shit (although it's got a couple decent tracks)

OB4CL is right behind Liquid Swords and is probably tied with this for me. OB4CL might get the edge over this just because of the entire concept with it.

Man I've been so busy with work it's been hard. Hopefully this weekend I can bang one out for Sad Clown Bad Dub II by Atmosphere or Lights Out Paris by Sims. I also plan on reviewing Dessa's A Badly Broken Code when that drops on the 19th.

In slightly related news, I might be getting laid off in the next couple weeks so if that happens I'll be writing TONS of reviews haha

Oh, and hydeyomoney, I agree with you. But I might want to throw in Tical by Method Man and Pro Tools by GZA in the mix.

He is definately catching up to gza but u gotta love ODB on 36 chambers. I'm finding that he stands out a lot more on this than ironman sometimes it felt like he was getting lost behind Rae and cappa's verses. Have to make sure I pick up fishscale

Yeah I think Ghostface has shown the most growth over his career out of all the Wu-Tang emcees. Fishscale is amazing -- more of a concept album.. a few weak tracks hold it back from being quite as good as this in my opinion. Although sometimes (if I'm in the right mood) I think Fishscale can be more enjoyable.

On this album, Ghost has some nonsensical verses, but they work because of his sheer charisma.
