The review seems well written but calling an album by 30STM a classic is something close to blasphemy.

Yeah, it's written well enough. It's just no where near as good as he thinks it is. I actually enjoyed their first two releases, this one is just dripping with excess and grand ideas that fall flat on the ground. Really poor release from them.

One of my favorite albums of all time. The songs, the vocals, and the production are amazing.

I guess that's why music is so subjective, but for me this album is no diferent from the previous. A 5 for 30 Seconds to Mars is something I would never think of, but I can't say this review wasn't well written.

This album was actually very well put together. Much better than "A Beautiful Lie" in regards to having it flow very nicely and cohesively. However from about the 4th song on, the album becomes very very repetitive. Search and Destroy is practically the same thing as Closer to the Edge, and Vox Populii (or however its spelt) is just a better version of those two songs. So in actuality, the album only has about 6 songs on it. While its not bad, its neither anything awe-inspiring nor great. its a good album. but its just good. 3 out of 5

Maybe newbies rate their first reviews 5s because they instinctually want to review their favorite albums first. Think about what you're saying before you say it. This site is for music lovers to voice their opinions on music, rather than the flaws of other human beings' opinions. He liked this album. So what? If you feel the review isn't substantial enough, there are many more. The purpose for member, fan and staff reviews on this site. Don't bash others' opinions, just voice your own.
