Ehh I wanted to use the word moody, but I kinda already used that in the next paragraph and didn't want to come off as repeating myself. I know melancholic itself still isn't the right word, I'm just not sure what is...

An excellent review, Ross. However, I'm sad that you didn't mention the best track. The sound off I'm fashioning may turn into a review at this point, haha. Pos!

Why can't you buy it online? Surely you know someone with a credit/debit card.

I only buy albums that I truly love... this would be one of them, but until I see it in stores/I have the cash for it, my downloaded copy will do just fine.

Who the hell has credit cards.

You can use debit cards too for most online transactions...and for one of those all you need to do is open a bank account so I don't really see what the fuss is about. Unfortunately for you I don't think that the band will stream the whole album anywhere if they haven't already, and unless this album gets them one hell of a lot of publicity I don't see it being available in actual shops at all.

I don't think it will be likely that you will see Feathergun in a store, depending on where you live. Rishloo are smaller than a lot of people realize, they haven't got a distrubution deal or anything.

I kinda already knew they were that small. They might get into some independants in the Seattle area though right? And I seem to recall Eidolon being available on amazon (OK not a "real" shop, but good for such a small band, no?) at some point.

Out of interest (you seem to know more about the band than I do) how have these guys not been signed yet? Do they actively reject small deals preferring to distribute themselves and keep a larger proportion of the sales or have no offers come in at all?

from what i understand they haven't received any offers (of any significance) that haven't compromised their control, I'm really not that sure though. I can understand why they would want to stay independent, but they just need a good promoter and a distribution deal.

Ahh fair enough, I'm just surprised they haven't been approached by anyone big.

I've never used last.fm before. Do they stream an album forever, or like is it just a radio and i got lucky to find the songs being played at the moment?

Usually forever, it's up to the band though.
