I think that would be an accurate assumption to make

just stick around a while and listen to what everyone else here listens to in an attempt to fit in, you'll appreciate it eventually

I'm also curious why you gave Brand New's Deja Entendu a one

I'm sorry have we listened to the same album?

I mean I can understand why you might not like it but it's really not generic or unvaried :

Yeah I was just being contrived with that post, it's cool to listen to what you want. Just keep an open mind and take into account what the people here tell you, they generally have pretty sweet opinions when it comes to music.

"Because Deja Entendu is a generic unvaried pop punk album."

it's not about opinions. there either is variety in music or there isn't. Brand New has variety in their music. not liking their music is fine, i know people who don't like brand new, and that's cool. but saying they have no variety is just wrong. it's like me saying i don't like btbam because they suck at playing their instruments.

anyways i hope you enjoy the site and keep an open mind.

and don't avoid music that other people listen to just because other people listen to it. that's retarded.

Thank you I will be sure to keep an open mind. About my rating for Deja however, no there was no variety on the album you either got slow acoustic songs ending in the whole band shouting or you got slow acoustic songs that ended in the whole band not shouting.

thats like saying the beatles were generic and boring because all they did was sing and play guitar

Well then I will simply say, no I am not a fan of Deja Entendu and thank you for taking the time of the day to post a comment that has no relevance to what we were talking about.

To try and be a tad more constructive...

you don't go into much details as to what the album actually sounds like, what textures it evokes in your mind, what themes there are (if any), what the lyrics are like, how this connects to you, or, in short, why it is worthy of a five.

Giving a rating is like starting an argument- you have to have pretty ample evidence to back it up, or else the sputnikers will dog you like no other, as you've noticed.

Start editing this sucker from the bottom up. What attracted you to this music in the first place? How did wiL Francis (is that his real name? If so, weird) get into music? How many albums has he made, what are his influences, etc? Assume the reader knows nothing, and build up your reasons for liking the album from there.

Also, I'm wondering if you've heard The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails.

I'll try to stop in tomorrow and check your progress.
But I've got a big day at the office, so don't hold your breath. I've got to type on lots of paper, deliver a briefcase, and still get back in time for office cake.
There are stamps to be licked, mouses to click and boxes to tick.
I'll try and get home in time, but please, woman get off my back.
I'm only one man
