Most of the songs are not really Hardcore, Metalcore is not fitting as well IMO. The songs have quite some pop-appeal.

The album is a nice listen though, not overly outstanding so far for me, but still a nice listen.

Well.. the review is very good.

CushMG15- this album is a bit different from pass the flask musically and vocally for the most part, but it doesnt mean its worse. PtF is just much more heavy musically and about 98% screaming.

And to everyone who says the BLED are NOT 'hardcore' (whatever that is anymore), you are half right. if you listen to any song off the 'His First Crush' EP you will find that they were extremely hardcore. the lyrics were darker and the music was more aggressive than it is on PtF. on PtF they are most like fall into the hardcore genre, but a few people claim it to be emocore, which i find silly. on this new one, james sings quite often and the music is light, but the cd is still incredible. it just may take some getting used to. lyrically, it is more along the lines of PtF. So to those who say they are not hardcore, just add anymore at the end of your statement. (sorry if i offend anyone)

I don't find that james' singing voice is strong enough to carry on for long periods. Thats why I don't care as much for their new stuff.

Hm, I must confess, this album grew on me and quite get's me. One of my guilty pleasures so to say.

The singing is ok, the overall instrumentation as well. It's a good listen, I dare to give this one a 4/5

I have only heard 'My Assassin' on this album and it was okay. Pass The Flask was brilliant though, especially 'Porcelain Hearts And Hammers For Teeth'.

Daylight Bombings is the highlight of the album simply because of that rediculous breakdown at the end.

ive never really seemed to think of the bled as all that hardcore but they do have some pretty decent riffs in their music like in one song i think it was red wedding that they had some pretty badass riffs goin on, but i thats just a thought it may be off becuase i wasn't really paying attention to the song, my sister used to know this band and i heard a lot of the stuff that they started of with and i dont really know what to think about them, heres the thing they are really soft in some songs
and then a some heavy in other songs

I thought their first album was mediocre until I heard this.

Wow, the singer is completely tone deaf.

The bled is definately one of my favorite bands. I have seen them play live twice now and they are simply insane live. At warped tour in kansas city in june of '06 the bass player got right to the edge of the stage and put half of his body over the amps at the front of the stage and played right in one of the security guards ears during a bass line. At the end of the line the bass player punches the security guard in the head. It wasn't a hard hit but he also didn't just tap the guy. This was the highlight of warped for me since i was all of 5 feet away being in the front row. Listen to them and give them a try if you havnt heard them yet.

Ok...The Bled. My Favorite Band...The Bled is a really interesting band, just because they have a unique sound. To tell you the truth, James voice isnt very godd, but he screams in a awesom way. The guitars are really cool cause i love those riffs, and the drums are so fuking GREAT and i mean it. Talking about the bleds hole career as musicians,This might be the best album but its kind of different of the others. As you can see, every album passes by, they turn more mellow (but wait. not like theyre loosing their genre style heh..) but um they still have some tracks heavy with awesom guitar riffs(most of the tracks though lol). The First album the Bled released was His First Crush, at that time they had another vocalist whose method of singing was like just screaming(he was good though). Then, for some reasons, he left the band and the bled got another...James. With James they released an album on 2003, Pass The Flask. In my opinion, Pass The Flask has been The Bleds best album, but it was kind of different comparing it to Found in The Flood and His First Crush (2001). After That, they tried to experiment some new sounds in Found in The Flood, and they did. The Sound of found in the flood is different, but as the same time Amazing too. I Call Found In The Flood a great album because the bled has changed their sound, and its great, but its not their best result, but in theyr style and genre its one of the best albums. Its worth buying and its really amazing....just buy it and try to listen something new.

Dude your comment has more detail than your sound off.

As for the album, well it wore off sort of quick. I might review it soon, since I feel both reviews are a tad high. Still a good album and defintely a killer live show. This Message Edited On 08.07.06

This is an alright album, the only stand-out track for me is The Last American Cowboy and everything else just kind of blends together. I regret buying it.

probably the worst vocalist in the history of them. Not to mention that every song is nearly indistinguishable on this record. Ugh.
