Hah, I know I'm on the computer a lot but DAMN, even I dont use Internet Euphamisms (LOLS, LULS, ROFL, LMAO, etc. etc.), and if AND when I do use them, I SURE as hell dont take it to that Uuber-Geek-Extreme and say overtly nerdy things like (LOLing so hard). Which is actually (if you WANT to get nerdy with it) a Double-Negative; LOL = Laugh Out Loud, when you said LOL-ing, that would be spoken as "Laughing out louding so hard"



Hah, if you're going to type like a Geek, then at least act as smart as one - or at least try.

And I do appreciate the fact that you thought it was a good review, I just sometimes tend to automatically get defensive when someone randomly says something negative about a band for no real apparent reason. Usually because a lot of times people just cant give good reasons as to why they hate a band.

- you would be better off starting out with an album not by dark funeral

Yeah and I dont care, I kept my final comment an unbiased one - It proved both of our points; Us being both wrong and right; I was right in that you shouldnt waste your time and others by typing comments about bands that serve you no interest. And I was wrong in the way I went about expressing that idea, and therefore came off as an asshole.



He was right in the fact that Dark Funeral is difficult to digest by MOST people and therefore comes off to the majority of people as unintelligible noise. And he too, was wrong in the way he went about expressing that idea - and in turn came off as sounding arrogant and opinionated.

True, there are at least 2-3 metal reviews per week plus a bunch of non-metal reviews as well. They even throw in double-paged reviews on entire genres and bands (Meshuggah, Satyricon and Zonaria for example). Death, black, thrash, grunge, country, techno, pop you name it. That's one good reason why you should leave The States Balls:P

Yeah, Mitch gave The Ruins Of Beverast a 4, so I immediately hold that higher than this argument.

Trying to give the album a chance, and it's not a horrific album, but it's not incredible either. 4+ is probably too high, I'd say maybe a 3..with some 3.5 songs.

Well sure; This is because the only bands/albums I rate are my favourites; Believe me, if I were to go to some of the other genres (mainly Rap, Country, etc. etc.) I would undoubtedly have MUCH more 1's and 1.5's and 2's and 2.5's.......I simply avoid these Bands and Genres alltogether because they do not interest me in any way. So it's not really that I'm not objective, it's just that I dont even bother rating bands or albums that I think are below a 3....And most of the time I wont even rate an album unless I think it's AT LEAST worthy of a 3.5.......And in those cases, the albums that I DO choose to rate I personally believe are at least worthy of a 4, most of the time higher....

Phenomenal review. I reviewed some albums in a similar way in the past. I'll surely look into this album!
